Suburban Protector Range, Okeechobee
Private outdoor range · Okeechobee

What to Wear
- A crew-neck or high-neck shirt. Hot brass can drop down a low collar.
- Closed-toe shoes. No sandals or flip-flops.
- Comfortable pants or shorts with a sturdy belt if you will be using a holster.
- A hat with a brim helps outdoors and keeps brass off your glasses.
- Outdoors in South Florida: sunscreen, water, and bug spray.
Checking In
At the indoor range, expect to show a valid photo ID and sign the range’s waiver at the counter before you go to the lane. Arrive about 15 minutes early for a first visit so paperwork does not cut into your lesson. At the outdoor ranges, Mike meets you at the confirmed meeting point and walks you in.
First Visit Checklist
- Confirmation text from Mike with the range, time, and costs
- Valid photo ID
- Your handgun, unloaded and in a case, if you are bringing one
- Ammunition, if Mike asked you to bring your own (he will tell you the caliber and amount)
