Protector Level 3 student training around a vehicle

Where Training Meets Real Behavior

Paper targets do not argue, move, or change their minds. People do. Force on force training puts you in scenarios with live role players so you practice the hardest part of self defense: recognizing what is happening and deciding what to do, including deciding not to shoot.

Scenarios are built around situations that actually happen to people who live in south Palm Beach County, like a confrontation in a parking lot or an intruder at home, and every one is debriefed so you understand what worked and why.

Why Force on Force Matters

Most defensive shootings involving private citizens are not about marksmanship alone. They involve confusion, movement, talking, and fast decisions about whether a person is a threat. Range drills cannot recreate that, because a paper target never changes its behavior. Force on force does, and it is the closest you can come to the real thing safely.

Level 3 runs at the private outdoor range in Boynton Beach with strict safety protocols: no live ammunition in the scenario area, required protective gear, and safety checks before every scenario.

What a Scenario Looks Like

You receive a short setup, such as walking to your car in a parking lot or answering a knock at the door at night. A role player acts out a situation that may or may not become dangerous. You respond however you think is right, including leaving, talking, or not drawing at all. Afterward the instructor walks through what you saw, what you decided, and what you could do differently.

Common Questions

Is force on force painful?

Protective gear is required and the training tools are non-lethal. You may feel impacts, which is part of making the stress realistic, but safety rules are strict and enforced.
