Protector Level 2 defensive pistol drill at the Boynton Beach range

The Gap Between Permitted and Prepared

A license shows you completed a course. It does not show that you can draw from concealment with your heart pounding, move off the line of attack, or clear a malfunction without looking at your hands. Most indoor ranges in Palm Beach County will not let you practice any of that. Level 2 runs at a private outdoor range in Boynton Beach so you can.

This is a demanding course by design. You will be moving, you will be timed, and you will make mistakes in a safe place so you do not make them later.

  • Scenario drills based on home and vehicle situations
  • Stress drills that raise your heart rate before you shoot

Why Level 2 Runs Outdoors in Boynton Beach

Almost every indoor range in Palm Beach County prohibits drawing from a holster, moving while shooting, and engaging multiple targets quickly. Those rules make sense indoors. They also mean most carriers in Delray Beach, Boca Raton, and Boynton Beach have never practiced the skills they would actually need. The private outdoor range in Boynton Beach removes those limits, under close supervision, so you can train them properly.

How Holster Work Is Taught Safely

Drawing from a holster is introduced in steps. First slowly, with an empty gun, then at speed with an empty gun, then with live fire at a measured pace. You only move to the next step when the previous one is clean. Two instructors watch the line, so nobody is rushed into speed before they are ready.

Is Level 2 Right for You?

Common Questions

Is Level 2 safe for someone who has never drawn from a holster?

Yes, provided you have Level 1 or equivalent fundamentals. Holster work is introduced in steps, slowly at first, with the instructor watching every rep.

Where does Level 2 run?

What if I do not have a holster yet?
