The Range Is Already in Your Town
Most of our students drive north to get to Palm Beach Shooting Center. Lake Worth Beach residents do not. The range sits at 501 Industrial Street, west of downtown near I-95, so a lesson can fit into a lunch break or the time between school pickup and dinner.
That short drive matters more than it sounds. People who live close to the range tend to come back for a second lesson, practice on their own between sessions, and actually build the skill instead of losing it over a few months. If you are going to learn, it helps to learn somewhere you will return to.
Students come from all over the city: the downtown blocks along Lake and Lucerne Avenues, the historic streets of College Park and Bryant Park, the neighborhoods around Lake Osborne and John Prince Park, and South Palm Park near the water. Many are first-time owners. Some are renters in apartments and duplexes thinking hard about where a gun can be stored when the walls are thin and the neighbors are close. Others already carry and want a clean qualification for a Florida license.

When We Head Outdoors Instead
Indoor lanes are ideal for first lessons and qualification, but they do not allow drawing from a holster or moving while you shoot. When you are ready for that, Protector Level 2 and Defensive Rifle run at a private outdoor range in Boynton Beach, a short drive south.
Keeping a Firearm in a Lake Worth Beach Home
A lot of Lake Worth Beach housing is older and close together: bungalows on small lots, duplexes, and apartments with shared walls. That changes the storage and home defense conversation. A gun that lives loaded in a nightstand drawer is a different risk in a two-bedroom cottage with visiting nieces and nephews than it is in a large house with a locked office.
Lessons leave room for that. Mike will talk through quick-access safes, how to keep a firearm reachable at night without leaving it out, and why ammunition choice matters when the next room over belongs to someone else. For the legal side, he points you to the official Florida sources rather than giving you his opinion as law. Our home defense training page goes further.
What Students Say
Delray Beach Firearm Training is run by Mike Kneuer and Suburban Protector. These are real Google reviews left for Suburban Protector by students who trained with Mike.
Mike and Greg are a master at their craft of shooting. The first time I attended a Suburban Protector class, I wasn't confident with a firearm, and could barely hold my sights straight. With Mike's help, I'm now able to group multiple shots on target and feel confident in a gun range scenario. I highly recommend signing up for a class if you're serious about improving your firearm experience.
Second training session with Mike and there will certainly be a third. He doesn’t just run down a list of drills but actually provides individualized instruction and coaching. Mike paid close attention to grip, stance, movement, etc and demonstrated how to adjust. Making what felt like small changes ended up yielding big improvements
